Munke Mpoe
Munke Mpoe was burned severely when he was just one years old. The burns resulted in loss of part of both feet and severe burns to his right hand. Thanks to corrective surgeries he was able to receive thanks to the generous sponsorship of donor Brenda Anderson, Munke was able to return to school while awaiting additional corrective surgery.
Dennis Munka
We first met Denis when he is in Class Seven at Olpusare Primary School. Despite being physically challenged, he was still performing all the responsibilities of a father, husband, and student in school. He performed well in his KCPE, and proceeded to Loita High School, and then onto TVET school, where he learned the skills of leatherwork and is now crafting wheelchairs and other tools for the differently able.
Solomon Ole Yenko
Solomon is another powerful example of being able! In May, Solomon started at a boarding school, which is opening up new opportunities and saving him from walking miles to school each day and also achieve his dreams.
Elijah Tuya
Elijah sparked the beginnings of Hold My Hand, Ignite My Hope. The day that our founder, Josephat, met him in church still remains fresh in Josephat’s mind. That day, Elijah, who could only walk using his had asked him: "Why do people with legs comes to church late?"
Thanks to many friends who came in to hold his hand and ignite his hope, Elijah can now drive himself using his wheelchair to church, school and anywhere else choice. We have walked with him all these years and watched him go through so many challenges and overcome them.
