Dennis Munka

We first met Denis when he is in Class Seven at Olpusare Primary School. Despite being physically challenged, he was still performing all the responsibilities of a father, husband, and student in school. We asked friends to help donate to get him crutches until he was done with primary school. He later Joined Loita High School under the sponsorship of Pipeline through the Regional Director, Narok County National Council for Persons with Disability Narok Office Pastor Julius M. Ntayia and was able to receive an artificial leg from Jaipur Foot Trust.

In 2022, after graduating from secondary school, Dennis Joined Isinya Vocational Training School with the support of Dr. Panadol, pursuing a certificate in Leather Work Technology. He learned the skills of leather work and is now pursuing an internship in Kajaido, crafting wheelchairs and other tools for the differently abled in a leather crafting shop. Dennis is a role model for the youth in Loita who differently abled, showing them hat disability is not inability!

Denis works crafting a mobility device at his leather work internship in Kajaido, 2024.
