Josephat Mashati: Founder
Josephat is a teacher and a pastor who currently works as the Programs Manager for For the Good, an NGO which partners with communities in the Loita Hills to improve girls’ opportunities and and access to education. Josephat founded Hold My Hand, Ignite My Hope in 2017 out of his deep desire to help individuals limited by physical disability and similar challenges.

Roselyne Sein Kukutia: Treasurer
Roselyne is a Registered Nurse who recently completed specialty training in Pediatric Critical Care Nursing. She works closely with our organization in health-related issues affecting the Loita Hills region. She was born and raised in the Loita Hills and has a passion for supporting this region.

Dominic Kipelian: Secretary
Dominic Ole Kipelian is a journalist working at Maasai Radio, covering all Maasai counties. He is also a pastor and currently serves as Secretary of Hold My Hand, Ignite My Hope.

Kate Lapides-Black: Communications Support
Kate is a longtime photojournalist, writer, and communications specialist from Colorado who has worked with For the Good since 2015. Kate has worked alongside Josephat at For the Good since 2019 to support girls’ education across the Loita Hills and Naikarra. She began volunteering to advance our own work in 2022.
